Azewls Clan History

As part of my old friend @Unfunny coming to join us in Vanguard a good point was made by @^Marvels ... "small teams can have an impact" she is very right.

I wanted to take the time to elaborate on some history of mine, which involved leading a clan before my son was born about 2~3 years ago. That clan was called Desolaters, this clan was the start of my leadership. Desolaters was formed by me and was just a 10 man group of solid, active pkers that pked every single night religiously. This was before rev caves had come out, so we did a lot of Venenatis pking, Callisto, GDZ, Rune Fountain & the Rune Rocks by lava maze. We obliterated most small teams since we were such a close knit unit cut from the same fabric. As time went on Desolaters grew significantly friends of friends joining etc, at one time we had 40 active members playing constantly. Later the Desolater name and clantag 'Deso' became a bit of a nuisance for some members due to the tag taking up 5 characters of their name. We voted & decided on a new name and with it a new clantag. This is where Dread began. Dread was all of the Desolaters except we now had a shorter and funner clantag of 'Dr'. Many months went by and Dread was doing great... Until I had some IRL issues with my misses. Due to this unfortunate event I stepped down from leader of Dread and shortly after that, Dread was no more. Many months went by and I had taken a serious break from OSRS. I came back and got flooded with PMs from old members wanting another clan formed, so I decided to give it another shot but wanted a more elite unit, this is where Unit Vii came in. I was always a fan of clantags since it shows your members commitment to something larger then themselves. Sooo it was kind of lame but our clan tags were all 'Vii' something, so like Viiking, Viiolent, Unit Vii only had about 10 members and was also shortlived due to more IRL issues. Soo, yes @^Marvels, small teams do make an impact and I can assure you that @Unfunny was always a loyal, committed member of the community and was personally one of my gold stars. There were several others but unfortunately they don't actively play OSRS, should they ever return I will obviously invite them to VNG. Attached are some screenshots of my old RSNs, and some of the clan shit. Enjoy.

That was a good read Azewl, interesting :) Good to see your clan had alot of success, I did not know much about the clan you led.

Kinda jealous you can fit your clan history into one decent sized paragraph...

The RS food chain is very real and very important to a growing PvP scene. It's something that has typically lacked up until the point of Rev caves and that's ultimately why more and more smaller clans have become about. Most people will give you shit for dealing with a small team/clan but it's honestly much more enjoyable compared to having 150+ fucks to deal with. Small, tight knit, love it. Usually have the same mentality as well so it gives what you got a little bit more of a meaning.

Thanks for the insight dawg

To be fair this isn't my entire clan history, just the part that relates to @Unfunny

Interesting read. I was more relating to the fact that a lot of small teams (jaja, red army, scrilla gang) are a bunch of shitters, but still made an impact as far as attitude in the clan world. When you are applying to a clan, never leave out your clan history, because thats something that will show some means of judgement (good or bad), no matter how small you think it is.
